13. HAVE NO STRATEGY
To succeed in social media you must have a strategy. It is
important to find the 'why' you are on social media rather
than just the 'how' I can operate my social media platforms
before starting out. Ignoring the 'why' is a fundamental
error.
14. NOT BEING SPONTANEOUS
You do not have to always think your posts through.
Sometimes the best posts are the ones you make on the
spur of the moment. At times you may see something that is
engaging and you post it immediately.
15. FAIL TO REPORT SUCCESSES ON SOCIAL MEDIA
TO YOUR SENIOR LEADERSHIP.
If you are managing the ministry or church social media
platforms it is very important for you to let your leaders
know how well the social platforms are doing. You need to
inform the church leadership especially when you have an
increase in engagements and followers ship.
Do not keep your successes to yourself. You must
demonstrate the effectiveness of your on line reach to your
leaders. Strategic leaders love seeing results and will back
you.
16. IGNORING #HASHTAG CONVERSATIONS
You have to spend some time to learn how to use and
