THE GREAT COMMISSION
Go you therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy
Spirit. Matthew 28:19
I n this chapter we are going to look briefly at these 10
basic areas you should familiarize yourself with to
help you succeed in utilizing social media as a tool for
your ministry and for global evangelism.
1. WORLD POPULATION AND RELIGIOUS AFFILIATION
STATISTICS
a. World Population
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all
the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall
the end come. Matt 24:14
Let us look at how many people we have in the world
today? Where are they living and how many of them have
heard the gospel and have become Christians? The ones
that have not become Christians are the people we are to
preach to for them to be converted and become
candidates for heaven.
i. How many people are in the world today?
According to the most recent United Nations estimates
elaborated by Worldometers as at July 1 2019 there are
approximately 7,714,576,923 people in the world. The
term "World Population" refers to the human population
(the total number of humans currently living) of the world.
