meet with the pastor, sending a message on a social media
platform to a pastor or minister is seen as been able to have
personal communication with you.
Once you are on social media your congregation and
followers will feel freer communicating with you. They will
connect with you more freely and frequently.
c. Understanding your people better
When you engage in social media you get an insight into
the lives of the people as you read, listen and watch they are
posting and talking about. You are no longer isolated from
the people you are trying to lead. You become a better leader
and get a better understanding of what they are
experiencing and can better counsel them.
Some things they will not tell you as their pastor or
minister but they will post it on their social media
platforms. And when they run into difficulties they will run
to you for help and counseling and may not even still tell
you about that part of their lives even though it is already
open to the whole world on social media.
d. Posting uplifting content
When you are on social media you can post uplifting
content for your followers. You can also point your followers
to other life changing content that are posted by others.
As a pastor or minister you should see social media as a
significant tool to use to fulfill the dictates of your calling
as you can use it to equip the people. This is what only you
as their shepherd can do for them. You cannot leave getting
people to follow Jesus on social media to others to do for
you.
