1. WHAT IS SOCIAL MEDIA?

S ocial media is a very broad term and without going
into much technicalities. I will simply say that Social
media refers to websites and applications that are
designed to allow people to share content quickly,
efficiently, and in real-time.

The 3 main features of social media that I find that makes
it unique are that:

1. They are web based communication tools.
2. They enable people to interact with each other.
3. They allow people to share and receive information.

The 'social' part: refers to how people use these
mediums to interact with other people by sharing
information with them and receiving information from
them.

The 'media' part: refers to the fact that they are
instruments of communication or communication tools.
While television, radio, and newspapers are examples of
more traditional forms of media social media is web based
and the latest form of media
I also always say that from what i have observed that
there are 3 main things we do on social media are:

1. Tell stories to capture the interest the readers (just like
Jesus told parables).

2. We engage the readers and keep them coming back by
posting relevant content.
3. We build relationships with the readers and impact their
lives with our posts.
