will require you to verify the phone number by sending you
an SMS text message with a code. You may also request a
voice call to verify your phone number. Enter the
verification code in the box provided.
v. Once you sign up for an account, you can select a
username (usernames are unique identifiers on Twitter).
Twitter will tell you if the username you want is available.
b. Tips to setting up your account
i. Choosing your user name
Your username is the name your followers use when
sending replies, mentions, and Direct Messages. ( @name) It
will also form the URL of your Twitter profile page. It must
be fewer than 15 characters in length and cannot contain
"admin" or "Twitter", in order to avoid confusion with your
name.
If the name you choose has already been taken by
another church with a similar name, Twitter will let you
know and then also provide s you with suggestions that you
can use to modify the name to find one that is available.
Adding an additional character or number may change
the chosen name and make it available for you to use. e.g
@Gracechurch may already be in use and you can make it
@Gracechurch1 or @Thegracechurch
Make sure that whatever username you chose you can
use it also on all your other the social media accounts.
When you use the same username on your Facebook,
Twitter and other Social Media accounts communication
with your congregation and followers will be easier as they
will be able to identify all your accounts as they will all have
the same user names.
