anything on your wall was either placed there by you or you
have given permission for it to be there. So do not just read
the latest news or the notifications and events or birthday
sections only when you log into your Facebook account.
Check your timeline and your Facebook page from time
to time to see if you are getting unwanted postings on your
page. If you find an offensive and unsolicited post on your
wall you can report such posting to Facebook and they will
review, remove it and report back to you. You can also
unfriend such person that placed such a post on your wall.
d. Do not Accept Friend Request from unknow Persons:
We want to have friends in the thousands on our
Facebook pages so we can increase the sphere of our
influence, while I do not know why many people on
Facebook just add others as friends even when they do not
know them or know their faces my strong advice is: Do not
accept friend request from unknown persons.
If you accept friend requests from people you do not
know you are exposing your personal information to likely
hackers.
e. Application Permissions:
Whenever you want to add an app to your account make
sure you read carefully what you are giving permission to
before accepting. On Facebook there are lot of application
(some of which are most dangerous) because they can
access your account without your knowledge even when
you are not active on Facebook. It is better to read the
permissions you are granting carefully before giving
permission to that app.
