b. Sound
A video primarily has two significant elements: Picture
(visual) and Sound (audio). When you are recording your
video it is important to pay close attention to both the
audio and visual aspects of your video content because
the audio is just as important (if not more important) than
the video.
The microphones that are built into camcorders are
usually low quality. They do not always pick up sound well.
At times when you record using a camcorder you may hear
the sound of the camcorder operating in the video
The sound quality on some ipads and hand sets are
getting better as newer hand sets are coming into the
market. Make sure you check your sound quality after
using any of these to record
When recording at home or in your church office here are
3 things you can do to improve the sound quality of your
videos.
i. Use a High-Quality Microphone: You can use a high
quality external microphone when you are recording your
videos. One like the type newscasters use which is called a
lavalier, or lapel mic. This mic is small and not really
noticeable and is especially helpful in getting your voice
recorded clearly in your video.
ii. Turn Off Music: Turn off any music playing where you
are recording. It is very difficult to edit out such music. It
makes it also difficult to edit the video if you recorded with a
music playing as there will be break in the music where you
cut out certain parts of the video while editing. If you want
