Protocols is the term used for the variety of languages
            that  is  used  for  information  to  travel  over  the  internet.
            (TCP/IP)    The  internet  is  a  networking  infrastructure,  a
            huge network of networks.
               The Internet has reshaped, redefined and bypassed most
            of  the  traditional  communication  media,  which  include
            telephone, radio, television, paper mail and newspapers.
            With  the  advent  of  the  internet  came  new  services  like
            email,  internet  telephones,  internet  television,  on  line
            music,  online  /digital  newspapers  and  video  and  live
            streaming.
               The Internet has also enabled and accelerated new forms
            of  personal  interactions  through  instant  messaging  (IM),
            internet forums, social networking and online shopping.
               There is no centralized government for the internet or any
            policies for access to it or its usage. Each network sets its
            own  policies.  ICANN  -the  Internet  Corporation  for
            Assigned  Names  and  Numbers  is  the  organization  that
            maintains the IP Addresses - Internet protocol address
            space  (every  computer  has  a  unique  IP  address  on  the
            internet by which it is recognized) and the DNS- Domain
            Name system (Every website has a domain name through
            which it can be accessed) on the internet.



               Quick Points about The Internet:
               ·It  is  a  global  network  connecting  millions  of
                 computers.
               ·The internet is decentralized.

               ·Each internet computer is independent.
               ·There are a variety of ways to access the internet.
