4. SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS

It is important for you to be on social media as a
church/ministry and in other sections of this book I have
given you reasons why. We will go into the history and
features of some of the more popular social media platforms
and how to set up your account on them in some chapters
            below.

            i. How to identify social media platforms

With so many networking websites on the internet at
times it is hard to recognize
            which sites are social media
            networking sites and which
            ones are not.
               Here are some common
            features of social media sites
that you can use to tell if a site
will fall into the category of
being a social media site or not.
               a. Personal user accounts:
            Most social media sites allow
visitors to create their own personal user accounts that they
can log into. So the first sign you would use to tell is if the
site allows visitors to do this, then this is a sign that the site
may be used for social interaction.
               b. Individual Profile pages: Social media sites allow
individual users to create profile pages to communicate
about themselves with others. These profile pages will
include information about the individual user like a profile
