C hurch Media Meetings: Pastors and church
leaders must make time out to schedule and attend
weekly, monthly or quarterly meetings with their
media team leaders and workers to map out the strategy for
the church in recording sermons, managing social media
strategies etc.
S.M.A.R.T. GOALS - Editorial calendar:
astors and church leaders must encourage the
media team to have S.M.A.R.T. goals for each social
Pmedia platform. They must insist on them creating
an editorial calendar to be drawn up to meet their monthly,
quarterly and yearly goals as per the use of each of the
social media platforms they have decided to utilize.
They must be able to get a report on how their activities
are impacting their viewers and if they are reaching and
making the type of impact they desire to make with. Time
lines and goals must be set and agreed upon for each social
media platform.
Social Media Pastor & Management:
he church image is very important. There is a
welcome development in larger churches today who
Thave tested out the power of social media on their
ministry that they are now appointing a pastor to be in
charge of their social media and their on line campuses.
The main reason why the trend is on the increase is that
the social media pastor can focus attention on the church
online presence and image and coordinate all the social
media platforms and engagement with people e online.
